I hope you all don’t think that I have gone on another long-term hiatus again! I did, though, take some time this last week or so to be with my husband/family due to the loss of a close family member. It’s heartbreaking to really notice in times of loss and devastation that our time on earth is so short. There is never enough time to be with the ones you love; or to really say or do everything you want to say or do. It’s hard to say good-bye no matter what feelings are expressed or felt when you last saw a person close to you, but I hope in you reading this short note that you might take a little time to go out of your way to make sure all the people you’d miss know that you feel that way.
Peace My heart
Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet.
Let it not be a death but completeness.
Let love melt into memory and pain into songs.
Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest.
Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.
I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light your way.
